Yes, (but not yet). Over the next few weeks you'll have the option to begin purchasing the FCA "polo-style" shirts online. We've partnered with a vendor who will be providing the "polo-style" shirts with the official embroidered FCA logo on the front. Color options will include: Black, White, Navy and Gray. (Pictures of the shirts are available on this page.)
On a date which will be announced at least 30 days prior, (you'll have plenty of time to prepare) all students will be required to begin wearing the "Official" FCA polo-style shirts in the color of their choice. (Your student can wear the same color every day, or different colors on different days, whatever you and/or your student prefer.)
These polo-style shirts will be worn on Monday through Thursday each week.
T-SHIRTS:
Every Friday will be FCA T-Shirt day. (Only Official FCA T-Shirts can be worn on Fridays.)
T-Shirts will be pre-ordered on-site at FCA.
So, that's covers the tops, but what about the bottoms? Great question.
All students are invited to wear slacks or shorts (no gym shorts/sweat pants) in any of the following colors: Black, White, Khaki, Navy and Gray.
SHORTS:
All shorts must adhere to the following:
- Must be loose fitting.
- Undergarments must not be visible.
- The length of shorts should at least reach the student’s fingertips when the student’s arms rest naturally at his or her side (otherwise known as the fingertip rule) and shorts should not extend below the knee.
- Must not be worn lower than the hips.
- No gym short or sweat pant type of material. (Think "dress shorts".)
SKIRTS:
Girls also have the option of wearing a skirt or skort (if desired). All of the same criteria listed above concerning shorts applies to skirts and skorts.
JEANS:
Jeans are not permitted Monday through Thursday, butĀ ARE permitted on Friday's along with FCA T-Shirt day. Rips and tears in jeans are permitted as long as they are below the student's fingertips when their arms rest naturally at his or her side. Jeans must adhere to the same criteria listed above for shorts (loose fitting, no visible undergarments, not worn below the hips).
SHOES:
Students are invited to wear the shoe of their choice with the exception of flip-flops.
WHAT DO STUDENTS WEAR UNTIL UNIFORMS ARE REQUIRED?
Students are asked to dress as close to the uniform style as possible (to avoid potential issues). But, as long as the above criteria is factored into your choice of attire, students are invited to wear any school-appropriate outfits up until the date that uniforms will be required. Lastly, T-shirts and jeans ARE appropriate every day of the week at this time (just no inappropriate graphics).
